Bringing back the memory about him, we got a nice fruit dessert recipe we wanna share with you here; we call it Hunza apricots with orange and pistachios.
How to make cold fruit dessert named Hunza with Orange and Pistachios
You will need:
240 g (8 ½ oz) Hunza dried apricots
115 g (4 oz) prunes
115 g (4 oz) prunes
60 g (2 oz) sultanas
140 ml (5 fl.oz) orange juice
30 g (1 oz) toasted pinenuts
30 g (1 oz) toasted pinenuts
30 g (1 oz) roughly chopped pistachio nuts
1 measure of orange liqueur (to taste)
1 measure of orange liqueur (to taste)
2 pomegranates
2 oranges cut into segments
30 g (1 oz) flaked almonds
How to make:30 g (1 oz) flaked almonds
- Place the apricots, prunes and sultanas in a large bowl and cover with orange juice. Allow to soak overnight.
- Transfer to a pan and very gently bring to the boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, then allow to cool in the liquid.
- Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with the pinenuts, flaked almonds, pistachios and liqueur
- Cut the pomegranates in half, remove the seeds and scatter them over the top. Decorate with orange segment
- Serve with thick Greek yogurt or creme fraiche
